Hey everyone, I just got my subscription reactivated (thanks Jim!), and it's good to be back and check out the good work people have been posting on NPN.

This is eastern Washington's Palouse farmlands under warm late-afternoon light last month, dappled by passing clouds.

Excellent shot, Jim. The composition and light all come together for a great image. I especially like the interplay between light and shadow.

I've shot this place before and let me say you've got some extremely good light in this scene. Love the curves and lines in the fields for sure!

Hi Alex - The light and color are gorgeous and just one downright fantastic image.

I will need to move this to the Man & Nature Gallery since it is farm land and the hand of man is obvious. I used to moderate M&N with Kah Kit and would love to see this posted there. Hope you don't mind.

We see lots of shots of this area with nice light, but the clouds really add a lot to this one by shading it in just the right places. I like the telephoto perspective, too.
