I have often admired the painterly backgrounds in Brigitte's photos. If imitation is a form of flattery than this one surely is - but perhaps not to Brigitte's high standards.

ND300s, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor, 36mm ET, F/5 (almost wide open), 1/200 sec, ISO400 and Tripod.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Coneflower-3 and let me know what you think of this one.

I always like visual echoes when done right, and this one is done right, Ram. :toast:

I haven't been by the forum for awhile but I see that your flora photography skills haven't diminished. Beautiful balance.

This is quite nice....I really like the echo of the flower blurred in the BG!

Gorgeous light and nice painterly background. The color contrast really works well here. Keep the coneflower shots coming; mine doesn't want to bloom.....

Wonderful echo shot, Ram! The front flower is obviously the star with its good clarity and the background is so nicely blurred. The back coneflower adds a lot to this image without detracting from the front flower due to its soft blurs and colors. The alignment of the flowers and your comp is just right IMO. Well done! :toast:

Love this one, Ram! Nothing quite like the look you get when adding the ET. That and the wide aperture really give a good example of it. Selection of focus point looks masterful to get virtually all of the main flower in sharp focus. This one's tops.

Just wonderful Ram. Yes, I admire Brigitte's work and now I have another on my watch list for painterly images.
