This morning did not offer very good conditions, but I found a whitetail fawn in the shade of a hill. Minor crop, mostly to discard a portion of oof foreground.

D3S, f7.1, 1/200, ISO 3200, 220mm (200-400)

Your thoughts and observations are welcomed.

Nice to see that you are not easily put off by less than ideal situations. IQ and processing looks pretty good to me and I might add a touch of a that OOF back to the image. Large version looks great.

This may sound funny, but to me this image feels very 'natural', I like how the fawn stands out so well, so much for camouflage.

Nicely done Lon! I just love the larger version, really well done in the low light. I really learn a lot from you and the other moderators when you post such nice photos taken in less than ideal conditions.

Nice head turn, detail and color Lon. Glad you got yourself a good position as well with all the tall grasses.
