A Little Bug Eyed (WC 543)

I posted this last year in Macro with the title "Radiated," but overlooked including it in my gallery, so I thought I'd repost it here for this week's 'Bug Eyed" theme. I was shooting this back lit Morning Glory when this very small fly with big red eyes came out of the center looking like he'd just been irradiated. D700, 180 macro, f22, 1/20, iso 400. Thanks for looking. Larger image included. Comments welcome. :wavey:

Scott,
Outstanding color in this one. I really like the way the Fly gives the Flower such a 'Large Scale' effect. Very Nice . . .

I remember this one! Very beautiful flower shot but then that little fly soon catches your attention. Even though he is so small compared to the flower, those eyes just jump out at you in this image. Very cool. One doesn't always know what will appear when we look through those macro lenses.

The large image is a must to appreciate the insect. He shows up much better. Great colors and composition.

Love the light & color, this one's a "must see large" to fully appreciate.
Excellent comp in this closeup, the "irradiated" tiny red eyed fly really stands out here too..
He must've just flew over from Japan  Ok, not so funny
Well done Scott :toast:
