The D7000 sure does well at ISO 8000....looks very clean, at this size anyway. This obviously isn't the best light for this flower but it's when you were there so what can you do? I actually find the "hairy" stem to be the most interesting part of the flower....
I was considering the D7000 last year as a backup to my (now departed) D3s but changed my mind with all the reports of oil on the sensor. Did you ever run into that problem??

Gerald: ISO 8000 or 800? If 8000 I'm impressed with the lack of noise. I like your DOF management and the sharpness of the stem. Cloning away the OOF light beige colored grass stem on the left side is my only suggestion. Nicely done.>=))>

Sorry that was ISO 800.
Mark I have never had any problems with oil on my sensor , I spoke to two other D700 owners and they haven't
had any problem either.

Gerald - Yes the D7000 supposedly has a pretty good high ISO performance. I think you did the most of what you were offered. Plenty sharp for a 1/10 sec shot.
I like the fine details on the stem and also the strong vertical orientation.

Gerald:
Love the details of the stem and the flower standing tall and upright. The bg is mostly pretty nice except for the diagonal one and the leaves on either side near the base.
