I got lazy on this one and didn't do a stack which left the tip of the foremost petal on the right tulip a little soft....next year.

D800, 105, f16, kitchen studio

I try to shoot conceptually when doing stock. Friendship, reaching out, helping hand, love all come to mind. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Lovely image. Very sharp. I am interested in a kitchen studio setup for controlled lighting. :toast:

Very well done, Mark. Creatively and artistically arranged, and well executed. I like the colors against the BG as well, and it all looks acceptably sharp to me, at least at the posted size. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more room on the right.

Mark - Superb interaction between the two tulips !!. Lighting has made them very vibrant on a high key background. Agree with the need for some space on right and left.

Lovely arrangement. I like the implied connection between the two blooms. Framing is fine with me. Like this a lot. :toast:

Thanks for all the feedback. I had cropped this tightly to the sides to help direct attention to the reaching petals but in looking at my uncropped version I think I, too, prefer it with more room on the sides so

Excellent job, Mark. An original composition, and well framed. Although for some reason it made me think of ET (the alien) with his finger reaching out.

Nice! Actually the tight crop doesn't bother me for some reason. I love the simplicity & movement created by the almost touching petals.

You nailed just the right image for the concept, Mark. Great work. I like the framing as is; it achieves the look you were after, with all attention on the reaching petals.

Hmmmm, reminds me of the Sistine Chapel painting of the creation of Adam where God is reaching his hand, and, I think, they touch fingers? Great work, and I always admire artists who can work from concepts. :toast:
