Honestly, there isn't a weak image on this page! The talent on this forum continues to be unsurpassed. You are all an inspiration to those of us who only dabble in flora photography.

We have had a miserable year for wildflowers in Colorado so far, with the exception of the alpine flowers. I was up on Mt. Evans last week, and completely enjoyed them for a full afternoon.

This image shows Alpine Springbeauty and Alpine Forget-me-nots.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Morris - Class shot - habitat inclusion is perfect and completely non-distracting. Centered Composition harnesses the symmetry so very well

Reminds me of a finely crafted wreath to be hung on a front door. What a lovely natural bouquet! :toast:

What a great mini rock garden, well captured. It is a little unfortunate that the perfect symmetry was spoiled by the blue flowers, but such is nature, and the blue flowers are themselves a nice element in the scene.

Kind of looks like a relative of sempervivum?

Nice find. I never seem to look at my feet enough when I'm in the mtns with all that fantastic scenery. Glad you did.

Beautiful shot Morris. All the flowers are wilting around here with the heat and dryness. Making me wish for some.

Terrific collection of alpine flowers, Morris. I would like to see a bit more detail in the leaves of the spring beauty, but that could also be an artifact of viewing on my laptop in a bright room. I so enjoy the alpine wildflowers and get to see them so seldom, thanks for a quick view.

Morris: Great find and a superb capture. 2011 was the worst wildflower year in Texas and it really depressed me. This year was better but I still feel your pain. At least you have these little beauties to ease the suffering. Really well done.>=))>
