Seven Sacred Pools is a short hike from a trailhead in Sedona. Dawn after a snow provided a nice accent to the red sandstone of Sedona.

Greeat to live near such a wonderful place!
Really like the colours here, as well as the detail in the rocks and greens.
The bit of snow adds a nice touch.
Great entry, and a fine image.

This has a very appealing mood to it. I really like the foreground. I would only suggest trying to coax a little more color from the clouds.

A beautiful scene as posted Doug! I'll agree with Sandy that you're lucky to live in proximity to such beauty!

Well composed with good layered sections and nice textures. The colors are lovely. The cloud varitions and color in the sky are
a real plus. Thank you for your critique
of my image.

I wanted to explore that trail the last time I was up there. I like your your take on this. My only suggestions would be to get a tad more contrast in the tree area and a bump of saturation. Hope we can get together sometime for a shoot.

Great photo, Doug! Lots of interesting elements in this image and your comp shows them off well. I like the foreground pool and the curves and angles of the rock. Then we move up to the straighter horizontal rocks interspersed with the snow-covered trees, up to the snow-covered rocks and the graphic peaks of rock, and then up to the beautiful pink-tinted sky. All comes together for a wonderful image. I could see a tad more of saturation to help this image sing! Great for the challenge.

I love your composition Doug. Snow always looks like a pretty frosting on red rocks and the colors in the sky are really lovely.

Neat spot. I like the good look into the frozen pools and how they angle across the frame. The hints of pink in the sky are the perfect frosting on a lovely image.

Wonderful image, excellent composition bringing the near pools and faraway peaks together nicely.
I like the added interest of the lichen FG, and the bit of orange in the early sky that compliments.
Very well done Doug :toast:
