Folly Beach Pier

Taken in April this year early in the morning just after sunrise with ominous clouds in the area. I chose to frame the pier in full - this is not cropped. Some may think it's too tight, but I wanted to fill the frame. There was little interest to the left of the pier.

Really nice conversion that helps emphasize the hard lines of the pier and the blurred lines of the tidal flow. Good choice of shutter speed.

Beautifully done. I like the perspective and and the strong lines and patterns. It works well in B&W, too.

Great comp--I like that you're tight on the pier, and the juxtaposition of solidity and movement.
Is this Folly Beach, SC?? I lived there for a short time, in sight of the pier. It's crazy, but it's been almost 20 years. I wonder if it's changed much in that time?
Again, this is a wonderful shot. Your choice to go black and white here was very smart.
