Maine coastal scene

This photo was taken on a 2011 trip along the coast of Maine. It was taken outside the town of Stonington, ME which is on Deer Isle which is off the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine. In other words, pretty remote! I thought it symbolized Maine so well; in fact, it almost looks staged.

Canon Rebel T1i. 55mm at F/5.6 for 1/160 sec. ISO 100. I did a fair amount of processing to this; does it look natural? The lighting wasn't the greatest. . .

C&C welcomed!

Definitely quintessential coastal Maine. In general the processing looks natural with the exception of the greens in the center that look a little on the bright side.

I very much like the comp, there's plenty to hold ones interest here Carolyn.
The processing looks good, but a difficult exposure scenario with the bright sky and much darker shoreline..
You did great with this IMO :wavey:

Very nice scene and I love that it was taken at low tide.

Some of the yellows look a bit too saturated and the sky is a little bright in parts. Otherwise great job here.

It looks good to me. I don't often connect to coastal scenes. No emotional attachment for a guy living in the desert but this works well for me.

I think you made the best of the lighting. I would try and darken the sky of you are able. It seems so much lighter than the rest that it could be easily selected with a tool and selectively burned in. Or, try using the individual color adjustment tool in PS which migh work as well. It is a classic scene and what we hope to find when we are there. I also like the perspective as if we are on a boat heading to shore, rather than shooting from land.
