NH Classic

No new view here, a classic spring scene from Sugar Hill, NH. The view is usually photographed at sunrise, but I preferred the afternoon light as it back-lit the lupine. The scene is usually a wide angle view, so I tried a zoom at about 100mm to compress the view and give the church more prominence. I focal blended by hand 8 images at f11. Lots of work for this due to slight motion of the lupine. A more dramatic sky would have been nice, but calander companies don't seem to care. More of an exercise on post procesing for this one.

f11, 8 images focal blended manually

Larger Version Included - Maybe you can find some areas I need to clean up on the blend

A classic beauty Harry. I like the lighting as well as your perspective. The large view is stunning.

Lovely, Harry! Yes, I believe that a calendar company would purchase this image.

Thanks Eva and Robert - Oh so tempted to remove that electrical wire near the church - I wish it were underground to save me the work. Unfortunately more visible with a zoomed in view.

I like this a bunch Harry, I'd print it big and hang it.

Beautiful. Harry! Such great clarity throughout the whole scene (due to your stacking). Wonderful colors in the flowers and the church adds so much to an already beautiful image. Great comp and lighting. Well done!

Looks picture perfect Harry. I might personally lighten the shadow area on the right edge a touch.

What a wonderful scene. The large version is especially beautiful! I know what you mean about the wires...I'm all for underground!

Looks fabulous as is. So New England...should be grabbed up by a calendar company. The foreground and church are quite detailed, so I like the clear, blue sky. Can't see any fuzzy areas!
