Do you see her?
by Morris McClung
In the moon, her profile. Like a cameo necklace. She is looking left, her hair cascading down around her left shoulder.
I didn't even know she was there in the moonsets in the full moon until I read Pat Conroy's..."A Little Beach Music," many years back. I had only known about the "Man in the Moon" in the moonrise. This particular morning she revealed herself to me in all of her regal beauty.
Do you see her now? She is being carried away for tomorrow on the clouds of today.

Love the moment here with a nice accompanying anecdote. I can see "her," but she looks more like an alien to me - E.T.
While I love the moment, and maybe I'll be the only one to say it, but to me the moon is almost too perfect. Maybe it's the sharpening (Stan's comment about the tree tops too) or maybe it's something else. I don't really ever expect for clouds to be sharp, but it seems that there's a disconnect in terms of sharpness or contrast between the clouds and the moon/trees. Not quite sure how to explain it.
Regardless though, you've got a great moment to work from.
