Nancy,
I really like the comp and the reflection here...
do you mind telling me where you shot that from?
I have a trip planned to the Tetons and Yellowstone in Sep.
Thanks.

This photo was shot at Schwabacher Road in Grand Tetons. You need to be there at sunrise(5:30) in order to get this amazing effect. We had an amazing time on our trip. I can not wait to post more photos. Wait until you see the bear I got in Yellowstone, and much more.

A classic view ans some great lighting. I like the wedges you created with the comp. I remember having to dodge some bison near the river as I headed to photograph in that area.

The landing is definitely a pretty place to photograph the Tetons. You walked away with a classic shot and some nice light. Shame there are not more clouds on the left...Tetons can be fickle when it comes to clouds.

Even with a 7d you could probably pull a little more sharpness out of the image for web presentation and if you ever decide to print. There are several methods. Some work better for web while others do for print.

That site has some of the most thorough explanations of sharpening and what it does to an image. You could also google 'luminosity sharpening'. There are other methods as well. There really is not just one way to do it. However understanding how it works is going to allow you pick one or two that fit your style. ;]

Edit: It also looks a bit tilted to the left. Perhaps a couple of degrees clockwise will straighten things up.

Beautiful light and a very nice composition of a classic shot. I stood in this very spot at sunrise last fall.

Makes me recall the first time I visited here. Just an awesome sight! I liked the balanced comp and light. Reflection looks perfect.

Beautiful light and the slight ripples in the reflection certainly help convey the sense of peace you felt. As Nicolaus mentioned, there seems to be a slight tilt to the image. Easily fixed and the only real nit I have. Very nicely done.
