Canyon sunset repost

I tried to make some changes to a previous post by darkening the upper branches of the trees here and cropping on the right side of the photo.

Haven't quite figured out how to repost within the original one like I see so many people doing.

I think this version might be a little dark and I'd be interested in what others think.

Big improvement, Kathy! This looks much more like sunset and has a nice mood to it with the richer color. Nice going.

I definitely like the tighter comp here. Light looks OK, Comp and light don't "wow" me, but it's still nice. I think my main issue is just below the sun line. The elements seem to bunch up there and not separate well. Just a thought.

I really like this shot Kathy. I love the light and color, but I think they could be brought out a bit more with some added mid-tone contrast. I'd love to see more separation between the trees and the rock on the left and their reflections... perhaps some dodging and burning would do the trick. There also seems to be some nicely shaped shrubs at along the shore on the left that also could be brought out further with some dodging. Just a few thoughts.
