Awesome conditions out in the gorge the other day. Thanks for looking and CC'ing.

Jeremy,

Man, you guys are killing us with all these beautiful images from the Gorge! This is no exception. Great take on a waterfall - being that it's so small in the image, but yet carries a big stick - so to speak. Here, I only offer nitpicks because this is one of those images that's worth every tweak. Two large shadow areas - can you bump the exposure a little bit? I know they're that - shadow areas, but to me they're at least big enough that they eye wants to look there. With the even diffused light, it's quite possible too that more light would get in there. The second suggestion would be to "disguise" some of the whitewater at the bottom of the frame. I think it's a case of either need to see more of the stream, or really none - at least the white water. Just a couple of thoughts, but man what place!

Wish I was there. I'm heading to Laughlin, NV this week where I expect it will be at least 110.

Beautifully crafted image. I'm not sure about bumping up the shadow areas, they might add depth and dimension to the scene but can see Lon's point - will be interested to see what the effect is.

Thanks guys. Here's a fix for the shadows.

I always seem to have a problem with the compression here at NPN. 300kb is so small, it can really be a downside to posting here. It's hard to guage how much to fix for shadow detail before you post based on how much detail is in an image. Very frustrating for me. So many othere sites offer way larger posting limits, and I'm not sure why NPN is not? Anyway...I do appreciate all of the feedback I get here.

I love how that little falls deep in the image attracts so much attention. My eyes start there and then explore the lovely greens and finally find the stream cascading across the bottom. Very nicely seen!

Jeremy,

What a difference! I know the changes are subtle, but clearly I think the changes elevate this image another level. Thanks for taking the time. I even notice the cloning the whitewater at the bottom. Excellent job! Print it!

Another beautiful scene here, Jeremy. The light and your framing is very nice! The tree on the left side balances this scene really well. Wonderful detail too! :toast:

Awesome! The repost looks amazing. The shadows look much better opened up a bit. You did a great job finding a unique comp here.

Excellent image. This may be the best use of maiden hair ferns that I've ever seen.

Wow, repost is even better!

You must have photoshopped out the fairies, or maybe they were just hiding. Beautiful scene, just stunning, and I much prefer the repost. Great work!

Wow! Lots growing and flowing in here! Great image of what makes the Columbia Gorge so amazing. I like the look of the river coming so far through the scene without being able to see much of it except the falls. The massive rock on the right is truly imposing. Quite a POV!

Excellent, Jeremy! The various green tones are beautiful. The FG is strong with various
leaf shapes as well as the texture of the ferns. The image is well composed with the
tree to the left and the interesting triangular rock formation next to it. The waterfall is
well positioned off center, and I like the V shape above it. I think that this would make
a lovely large print.
