Piping Plover

This past week-end I visited Chaplin Lake in southern Saskatchewan. This is one of the few places in the province where we have nesting Piping Plovers. We did find the plovers but it was a nasty, rainy, windy day. Taken from the vehicle. Would have like to get out and get a lower angle but that was not possible.

Nikon D300s, 300 mm lens plus 1.4 teleconverter. f5.6, 1/1000

Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

Wonderful shot. Would not have guessed about the conditions.

May you might have had bad conditions but it does not show on this cracking image.

Excellent, especially given the conditions.

Excellent image for the poor conditions - nice pose, bright eye, interesing habitat. Quite a bit of noise in the FG, but understandable.
