From Kubota Garden, Seattle, earlier this Spring.

D700, 24-70 @ 70, handheld. f8, 1/40, -0.67ev, ISO 1000. Cloudy and breezy.

Thanks for all the helpful comments. Helped me to do a REPOST on my Red Tulip Abstraction. Kinda hope you'll check that one out too, and lemme know if there's (hopefully) any improvement.

Now this is the "Catherine" style I love!!!! Beautiful flow to the composition and the color blends are striking. Keep 'em coming. :wavey:

Beautiful mix of colors on this image- Like very much your composition choice (IMO quite a tough task on this kind of picture)- Very well done, Fabio

Marvellous, frame filling image, Catherine ! Reminds me of the beauties of Impressionist paintings, full of intricate detail that all contributes to the eye catching effect.

Wow, an unending field of color. Nicely composed, Catherine. The patch of pink sets it all off.
I like the flipped tullip, although I don't think I would have changed the intensity of the "red" corner. It's a tough one to compose, although a very striking image.

Catherine - What a frame filling assortment of flowers there ! Whoa. I would not mind seeing a bigger version of this. I really like that light blue sandwiched between the two layers of purple with pinks on the side.

The repost you mention looks stronger in my opinion - may be just how my brain works.

Really nice groups of color, Catherine, nicely arranged. Like Ram, I think this would look better bigger because of the detail.
