Just moved to Colorado last week, so what do I shoot first? Oh, well, it was convenient....

Haha... Yep, it sure is an icon here in CO, but who could resist such a view? IMO, the foreground doesn't do much for me, but I love the rocks out in the calm lake. Great reflection. Welcome to Colorful Colorado! :wavey:

Hey Michael,

Great to see a post from you. Colorado eh? Hope you're all settled in. Still got the 8x10 I presume?

Classic take from here - actually kinda nice to see a non-autumn image! I like the near/far comp although I have to agree the foreground plant isn't the most compelling; but I'm pretty sure "it was what it was" and this is what you were dealt - including the bald sky. You did well to minimize the sky up top. Great timing with the light on the peaks too.

Hope to see more as you find your way around the new digs.

Great place to start and a lovely rendition of it. You caught some beautiful light on the peaks and I like the stillness of the lake. Nice job
