Blue-winged Mtn Tanager
by Nate Chappell
Blue-winged Mountain Tanager. This large tanager is one of the most common birds that comes into feeding stations in the foothills of Western Ecuador. This was photographed on our most recent tour there last January. I attached this perch to the feeder and placed a bit of banana on the end of the perch.
