Drunk Elephants

On a recent trip to the Sabi Sands I came across this breeding herd of elephants. The older juvenile leaned against its younger sibling in what looked like a reeling drunk pose.

I am off tomorrow to Mana Pools in Zimbabwe for a photographic safari - here's hoping for many more elephant shots!

Techs:
Nikon D3s with Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II
f8.0 @ 1/320 SS @ ISO-2500
heavily overcast weather
a tad tight on top but it's FF there

I really like the pose and your handling of the the exposure on the two foreground individuals. I think the location of the background elephant is a little unfortunate.

Cool shot showing different age classes/sizes. The postures are great and the elephants are showing some character. Nice to see some trees in the background.
