I think this is a type of Cinquefoil. Please correct me if I'm wrong. This was taken alongside a mountain meadow.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/13 for 1/20 sec. ISO 400. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Like this soft light and the way the five green leaves frame the five yellow petals here..
Hey, that's five for five!
Simple & pure, it's a beautiful little flower Carolyn.
Well done! :toast:

I love your top down view with the flower sharp and the leaves gently soft.

Cinq being French for 5, this would indeed be cinquefoil. Lovely and simple, Carolyn.

Great colors! The greens and the yellows go together so well. I like the comp a lot, and the flower is glowing with your exposure and pp. :toast:

Well done! Nice bright yellow with lots of detail. Love the comp-- where the flower is in relation to its leaves. Just great.

Well done. Could have used a darker background for a little more separation.

I agree with Cinquefoil. Based on the shape of the flower, leaves and your geographic region, I would think it could be
Common (Potentilla simplex), Rough (Potentilla norvegica), Slender (Potentilla gracilis), Tall (Potentilla arguta). These are just observations and are by no means complete.
Anyway, I do love this shot! Amazing top-down perspective with great detail and bokeh all wrapped up in what I believe should be a feature photograph for this gallery and site.
Thank you for posting this image, Carolyn.
