Common House Finch perched on a firethorn plant, singing pose..
I realize the leaves FG right side may bother some, but the singing pose outweighed them for me. But what do I know:wink:

Nice pose and perch. I like the contrasting green and reds and the composition. Pleasing background. The leaves aren't a distraction; they help to create a pleasant habitat shot.

Leaves on the right don't bother me in the least, I like them as a composition element, with bird perched nicely in a gap between leaves, but still mostly visible. Nice job.

The leaves are fine, the head angle singing away from the viewer is more noticable to me. Love the comp, perch, BG and detail in the bird.

NIce view of the finch. I like the perch, leaves and bg. The singing pose is nice; just wish for a bit more of a head turn. Still, a very nice image. Sharon

Nice singing pose, and great green/red colours. The OOF leaves don't bother me a bit - it's the bright bird that draws the eye.
Well done!

Nice calling pose, colors are very pleasing. I like the way the leaves frame the photo, excellent work Howard.
