f/5.6
ISO 400
Rookery at St. Augustine Alligator Farm
Raw, LR3, CS5, little bit cropped from the top, added tiny bit of canvas across the bottom

I like the way the BG vegetation looks in this, and I like the POV. I did light noise removal on the BG to see if it looks more natural that way rather than doing more noise removal. I don't like that there is noise also in the bird. Also, I used Levels to brighten this a bit, but please let me know if you still don't think it's bright enough.

Comments, opinions and suggestions on the above or anything else would be greatly apppreciated.

Thank you!

First, good job getting a full body clean flight shot, with nest material in the bill I must add. The photo shows off the verdant forest environment of this species. The white areas on the stork are just slightly hot in a few spots. I don't think I would lighten this any more.

Great full body shot! I would not lighten this up any more. It looks good just the way you have posted. :toast:

Barbara, I think this is one of your best posted photos!! I would not lighten it at all. IMHO it is a bit tight in the frame, but that is just a minor nit. Really like the position you caught the wood stork in. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice detail in the head and leaves in the larger version; I also like the light. I'd like more space at the bottom.

I like it Barbara. Great position for the bird and the exposure and sharpness are on. The vegetation in the bird's beak makes the BG quite suitable for the shot.

Nice catch Barbara, I like the wingspan and the bright green nesting material.

I think the brightness is fine where you have it Barbara.
I really like the de-focused BG/setting here too, nice job on the NR.
Perhaps a bit space bottom if you have it as Rich says..
Great POV and details, especially at the head/leaves,
Well done :wavey:
