Wild Parsnip

I liked the way each of these small blooms extend on a small stalk off of the main stalk. Slight breeze. Also, though I wanted to show how all of these small blooms looked togeter, I wonder if I should have focused on a single bloom, or maybe just a couple. Comments will be appreciated.

I like the fact that the whole flower is showing because they do have an interesting way they extend from the stalk. The DOF choice on this is a hard one. However, I think you did well with the focus clear on several blooms but still keeping the background fairly blurred. A closer view of just one bloom would have also been interesting.

Large compound flower like this is difficult to photograph but also offers many possibilities as you have eluded to. You are pretty close to the flower in the image and getting enough DOF without stacking is a challenge. Wish a few of the blooms are tack sharp but this may not be possible with the wind.

John - This is a tough flower to approach photographically. I like your take on this. There is enough DOF to hold my interest within the radiating bunch.

I think the single OOF bloom slightly right of center, is a wee bit of a distraction for this composition.

Beautiful light and tones in this Wild Parsnip. Very nice overall composition. IMO the DOF is just OK except the bottom bloon (third fron left) which is a bit OOF. Nicely done John.

A tricky one, John. I think my personal preference with this type of flower might be to go for more blooms in focus - or perhaps just a touch more dof to catch the lowest one on the R. It's a nice perspective on them in any case.
