While snooping around in our garden the other day I noticed a number of nice pairings of different flowers and buds. Here is the first of a short series. All comments welcome. >=))>

Nice combo here, Bill. You have both contrasting shapes and contrasting colors captured this in very nice light. Good eye. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

This image reminds me of what struck me this morning when I was looking for subjects to shoot in my own yard. What struck me is that I am can find arrangements to photograph, like the one you have here, but I am personally terrible at trying to make an arrangement to shoot. Never works when I put things together. I guess I am much better looking for comps than trying to arrange one.

A beautiful species. Sharp and crisp clear image. Perfect light to show this beautiful blue color.. Very well done Bill.

Bill - I have the same challenge as Scott. This is a terrific pairing - shades of yellow and blue to go along. A Bud and a Bloom. I particularly like the angle at which this was shot to bring both the bud and petal details on the Blue Flower. :toast:

Nice combo. Nature is the best arranger by far and most human arrangements are recapitulating what is in nature. Good eye for spotting this.

Honestly Bill, I think that this is my least favorite of the series, though still a great effort. For me the day lily bud is just too strong of a shape and a color. I do like the looks to the blue bloom.
