Summer is from January 1st until December 31st all over Malaysia, but too hot, not acceptable climate for growing these nice asters outdoors. Asters posted here are coming from flower pot; I've bought in the flower shop nearby. Origin? Most probably from Australia or New Zealand. Any comments

Miro, hey, it's okay to come from a flower pot.. a beautiful flower is a beautiful flower! Love the front and profile views if you will, and you were able to control such a nice contrasting background.. lovely work! :toast:

Good capture. I would prefer the leaf in lower right did not intersect and compete with flower and stem.

A nice view of this pair Miro. The contrast of the flowers with the BG is nice. These look like Gerbera daisies to me.

Hi Miro,

These look like Gerbera daisies to me, too. My only suggestion would be to increase the saturation of the flowers. It may be my old eyes, but the droplets do not "stand out" on the petals IMO. I thought the flowers looked dusty, until I enlarged the photo. :wavey:

The blue channel seems to lead my eye away from the subject. Cloning the leaf to the edge of the photo, effectively covering the blue vertical, may be even better.

Very nice, Miro. I like the colours of the flowers and of the BG.
The drops are a nice plus.

I like the orange flowers set aginst the contrasting blue sky. The flowers are well positioned in the image. Good job, Miro.

I like the way you composed these flowers, as Sally also mentioned, with the front and profile views. The green and the pretty colors of the flowers contrast nicely with the blue background.

Miro:
Beautiful presentation of these Gerbera against the blue bg. No issues with the leaves for me. Like the drops.

Question: You have a D90 and D700. Out of intersest, how do you decide which one to use?

Many thanks for all comments & suggestions. I appreciate it very much indeed. :toast: I take this opportunity to answer Gary's question. I'm using Nikon D90 and D7000. How I decide which one to use? Simple response. D7000 is a bit heavier and so very often I'm carying D90 with me. D7000 has more features (one very important is silent exposure; imortant when I'm using it during golf competitions). Also when I'm going on well prepared "photo-haunting" I take rather D7000. Summarizing D90 is my daly purpose (shooting) camera; D7000 special purpose camera. But often I take boths with different lenses.

Miro - Great take on the Gerbera Twins. Uniform lighting, the water drops and a clean background all come together to make a fine image. :wavey:
