Tulip Pair

A bit of a radical crop here - about 5-10% off the top of a vertical frame and 40-50% off the bottom. The out of focus background was dappled with a lot of light, and created a lot of competing lines. I tried to minimize as much as possible while keeping the focus on these two lovely blooms. With the lighting I did not change much from Lightroom defaults. I left the contrast as is for this look which I like very much. Thanks for taking a look!

Very nice Ned. A dreamy feeling image. I like the POF and the DOF.

Ned:
Your tulip compositions are getting better with each post. The softness here makes it rather appealing. Keep them coming.

Like the splash of warm colours over the cool lower bg, Ned - lovely image.

Ned - I like this very much  - excellent soft colors for the Tulip and excellent isolation on a non-distracting background.

Lightroom always seems to be a bit cool in its default, but it certainly works here. The 2.8 gives a dreamy feel to this I like.

I too like the dreamy quality of the light in this composition. Well seen and captured.

Nice the way you worked the background. It doesn't compete but even complements the petals in an almost subliminal way. Well done.
