Yellow Warbler

Though I do not really consider myself to be a bird photographer. It is a challenge, especially warblers. My bird photography skills are very much a work in progress. However, the colors on these birds is too much to resist. This was taken at Magee Marsh in Ohio, one of the best warbler spots in the midwest.

Nikon D700, 500 mm + 1.7 TC, ISO 800, flash, 1/250 second, F 6.7.

C&C appreciated.

Beautiful bird in a nice habitat - I'd lower the exposure a touch as the flash washed it out some

Nice yellow warbler. Pretty busy scene. The exposure looks pretty hot to me. You didn't indicate if you had the flash dialed down, but this one feels quite a bit too bright overall. Easily brought down in post processing.

I'd describe Magee Marsh as one of the best warbler spots on the planet... I agree with Luke that the brightness needs be pulled down a bit, but I like the composition and color palette.

I also agree this is too bright overall. Bring it down and you will have a great image IMO. I love the habitat and the bird.

Good capture but the exposure is over a bit.

A very "spring" image! A little bright and with a little work this would be a real nice catch! Sharon
