Nice comp. Some fill flash would help with the harsh light.

Good capture on the "short grass prairie." The composition is nice, but the bird is a bit soft to my eye and the whites appear a bit hot in the eyebrow, costing you some detail. I think your focus point may have been the grass just in front of the bird.
