Around here a grass called Norther Sea Oats has a similar head. I really enjoy the seed heads and you've got a fine collection of them here "flying" into the frame. There is a dust spot between the two lowest...easy to fix.

Lovely shot Richard, I always have a soft spot for grasses and seed heads. Beautifully captured. :wavey:

Richard - I like the drooping curve and a reasonably clean background. I do see a few dust spots here and there - may be your sensor is due for a cleaning.

Richard I like this well exposed grass detail in excellent evening (?) sun light. DOF & BG also very good. Only the composition could be improved by allowing more space at the right side. It would be nice to see a bit more from the grass culm

Richard:
I like photography grass seed but there are so difficult to display. The grass seeds are nicely shown here and I like the clean bg as well.

Lovely sense of life about this, Richard - I think especially from your dof choice. The background is beautifully handled - altogether a fine image

Interesting and artistic. Well done, Richard; excellent processing, too.
