Pretty In Pink

From the same night as my last post, although a bit earlier in the evening. One of the things that allure me to these types of photos is the simplicity in elements and color. Reducing something down to its bare essence has such appeal and to me is quite refreshing from the overdone formulaic photos that try to wow with superlative everything.

This body of work will probably never have a culmination, but something from this will be out soon.

Nikon D2x, 80-200mm @ 200mm f7.6 1/4 ISO 100.

Your thoughts much appreciated.

Very nice but an off center placement of moon might be an option....

Just love the simplicity here. I always enjoy your moon images Youssef and this one is wonderful. Oooh, just noticed Venus there at the bottom, very cool.

Maybe it's me, but I think you could boost the pink a little and still keep it reasonable? also, it seems more salmon colored to me than pink, but then again I could just be quibbling. ;-)

Works for me, Youssef. I particularly like the color gradient. I have to admit, I've now come to think of your shots when I see the moon and Venus in the western sky at night.
