Short Eared Owl.
Nikon D7000
Nikon 300ml 2.8.

Took this shot thinking i can always delete when i get home,it was wet and foggy and late in the day.I posted this just as i took it apart from a little usm on resize and wanted to keep the atmoshere as when the shot was taken, i would be interested to see what others would do with it,leave it alone or lots of work in photoshop or of course delete.
Thanks for looking and any comment you would like to make,think the big one gives a better picture .

DO NOT DELETE!!!! This is very nice. I love the mood of this image. I might lighten just slightly but I really am enjoying this. I might also run a little bit of noise reduction and saturate ever so slightly. If you decide to delete send it to me please. Thanks.

Very respectable photo Keith, no need to delete. The subject is very neat for starters, great pose and simple background. Must have had a branch of something near the camera causing some loss of contrast at the lower part of the owl. As mentioned might lighten up the image a little.

Under the circumstances Keith you have done extremely well. I like the atmosphere created, but I feel you could lose some off the top. Having the 'hedgerow/tree BKG & fog has given an almost graduated feel, nicely stopping to avoid the head. Need to address the halo on the lower front of the Shortie.
