I was clearing an area of the yard when I came across this situation. I stopped clearing so that I wouldn't interrupt lunch. I did get my camera and take a few photos before the final swallow, which took place in deeper brush where I wasn't able to get a photo.

This was a pretty good size garter and a really fat toad. It's hard to believe that the snake could swallow this large of a toad.

Looks like the lighting was challenging for this situation. Nevertheless, you managed the conditions well and I particularly like the way you composed the image. Nice capture!
