Rambling through the Danube Floodplains waiting for spring a few weeks ago, I found these remains after winter and flood.

Although I am aware that this scene might not be everybody`s cup of tea, I am curious to know your thoughts.

The green moss offers a nice focus, but the the other elements make it look a bit cluttered.

Peter, I like the moss covered log for interest here, but with so many other branches it does look kind of cluttered to me. The detail looks great! As good as you are with these this one doesn't quite work for me.

Add me to the list of liking the moss covered trunk but finding all the stark vines and sticks on the right distracting. I do think you've got an interesting idea hear and there is balance with the two "themes" coming from the corners and merging at the upper 1/3 point. Wish I could offer some help in figuring out how to make the concept work. I'll be interested to see how this idea evolves.

I can relate to such scenes Peter, for obvious reasons
It works for me regarding composition, your work with lines comes through clearly and the moss covered log is an interesting focal point. This image represents this place very well and therefore I think this is a successful image.
But I can also understand that this might be too chaotic and difficult for "non biased" viewers.

For me, it rides the fence between lines with depth and the chaos of an abstract. My simple mind would prefer it fell one way or the other.
