Forest Song...

This was taken up on the Mount Baker Scenic By Way east of Bellingham Washington. I have come back here again over the years and this stream no longer exists. One time photo. Maybe it will occur again someday when the conditions are right. Really beautiful area.

The larger version does it better justice...

Circular polarizer at f/22 with .5 second shutter

Hi Michael, I can almost hear the roar of the water looking at this! I like the warm light at the top, though some parts look a bit hot on my screen. The water looks really good except for the one spot which is blown out in the middle. We had record flooding last year in southern Illinois, which created many "one time photos" so I know what that's like, glad you were able to catch this one when you did.

That warm light on the top is magical. I wish it filtered down to the foreground, but mother nature can be so uncooperative. ;~) Great image.

This scene does remind me what it's like to be in the forests of the NW. I like the scene. The sense of light in the background is nice.

Wow, that looks like a big stream to just go away; glad you caught it while you could. The light in the background is very nice!
