Green and blue

Buttercup begin to bloom here, but in the greenhouses.

Even two cold colors may create a stark contrast if they are RGB basic colors.

F/8, ISO 200.

Always very glad for your opinions and advices.

Wow, that's real nice. The bit of light that seems to emanate from the buttercup adds a lot to the scene. I agree that the color contrast here is excellent. No nits from me...

Very contrasty with some excellent lighting, Gigi. Its tough to pull off Blue on a Green background but you have done it well here. Very special frame

Nice composition and combination of elements. For me that greens are a little too blue, but removing that hue might destroy the total effect.

Great color contrast! That little halo on top of the flower is a bit distracting for me.

Love the colors and how the flower is set off from the background by that rim of light along the top. That really creates a 3D visual effect. Is that a lighting effect or from post processing?

The rim on the petal behind is due to post processing. I didn't notice that, thanks Mark.
I retouched the image and the quality is improved.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Exquisite lighting on the flower, Gigi, and a lovely colour harmony - I think the yellowish cast of the green is just right for this particular blue. Beautiful and original composition.
