Nesting Great Egret

I took this shot at the UTSWMC campus rookery in downtown Dallas. In one of my previous posts, I explain that this rookery is smack in the middle of Dallas. It is really amazing to watch these guys fly out of the rookery (approximately 4 acres), tear branches off trees along the city streets or in front of office buildings and then return to their nest, as this guy was doing. I really liked the egret's bright green lore and his red eyes. Comments and critiques welcome.

Ah, time for all the great flight shots of the birds bringing in nesting material.
Nice wing position and breeding colours here. Good exposure and detail too - a fine image!

Four acres is a pretty good-sized rookery. Your image is nice and sharp, with good exposure.
