White-lined Tanager

Here's a female White-lined Tanager from Sachatamia Lodge in Ecuador. The male is black with a white stripe on it's wing. These birds are attracted to banana feeders at the lodge. The perch is a large fallen branch that I placed between the 2 feeders. It's about 75% of FF.

Really cool Nate... I'm actually surprised the body was so still with the wings moving so much. Really neat shot - good work.

Love this, Nate! What a good looking Tanager! Looks like a spot I have to visit. And, there's the rain again!

Great action shot of this beauty Nate  I like being able to see the separate wing feathers of the moving wings. Perfect use of fill flash.

Love the bright coloring especially set against the blue-green backdrop-neat wing position too. Nice shot Nate.

Lovely wing blur, the green background really sets off the color of the bird.

Nice bird in an excellent pose. Like it a lot, also the raindrops falling down. The BG looks a little grainy, if it were mine I would try some noise reduction. Other than that a wonderful shot ! Cheers, Hans

Nice Nate. Love the very unique color of this species. Great motion in the wings and the BG is very nice too. Use of flash looks very natural.

Very cool species, Nate. Very nice use of flash. The wing and tail movement worked out great while holding great detail in the body of the bird. Great job.

Hello Nate

Nice Detailed Capture. The Fill flash is great to get the details And this amount of Flash makes All appear Natural.
I enjoy the Contrast of Sharp details & movement in the wing feathers & tail feathers.

Makes my Eye , really focus on the Eye/Head area. Great job. !!
