The rookery at St. Augustine Alligator Farm
Raw, LR3, CS5, 71% of FF, 3 twigs cloned out in ULC, had to do some CW rotation

What do you think about the background for this tricolored heron? And because I had to do rotation it gave him less space to look into. Is there enough space left for him? Continuing to work on my rookery photography.

Comments, opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

The background and space here are fine IMO. The heron stands out well from the BG which is blurred enough to be non distracting. I might go slightly brighter overall.

I think everything is fine with the composition, but I also would like to see the entire image brightened up a bit. That should really bring out the colors. Beautiful, Barbara. :toast:

I think the background is fine, Barbara. I also think the composition looks very good, with plenty of room for the heron. The repost looks great slightly brighter. Very nice.

good work with the repost, Barbara. only thing I can add is that, probably due to the rotation, a tiny bit of the lower right corner is clipped off and white--easy to clone back in if necessary.
