I want to thank everyone for there input on my images. I am not a detail person and sometimes get focused on one aspect of an image and forget other aspects. You have all helped me improve. Here is the image of the crane in flight that I posted a few days ago with some work on areas that were mentioned. I would appreciate your opinions thought on whether it helped or not.

Canon 40D
Tokina 80-400
Aperture Priority
Shutter 1/2000
Aperture 8
ISO 640
400mm
Fill light added
Part of another bird cloned out in the top left part of the image
Some color correction
Sharpening and Noise reduction applied
All in PSE9

Well done Richard. You have improved a very lovely image. I like the pose and your exposure on the bird which you have improved the under wing area. Great job.

Second what Skip said. You were able to pull out some nice detail on the body and underside of the wing that was very dark in the first post. This looks very good.

Nice light and detail. Wings up might be a better choice if you have it. It would not have shadows then.

A nice job in cleaning up the blue splotches in front of the head. I did not mind the dark areas of the wing so that was not a problem for me. One caution on lightening up dark areas as you introduce noise and start to loose some detail. I really like the inflight composition, so overall a very nice image of a difficult flight shot, way to go.
