We'll leave the light on

These snow drops flowers always remind me of some type of light so in photographing this flower I decided to play up that aspect just for fun. This was an indoor shoot. I used a gorillatorch to provide some uplight inside the flower to make it look like a light turned on. Blue fabric background.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/20 for 1/2 sec. ISO 100.

Great idea Carolyn. I like the BG which gives the sense of midnight deep shadows. The pose does look like a lamp standard. My only suggestion would have been to do a double exposure and blend them so the light on the underside of the stem didn't appear in the image to further the concept the light was coming form the bloom.

Very nice, Carolyn ! Love the unusually deep blue bg, and the lighting on the snowdrop is excellent.
