Belfast, Maine scene

I noticed this sign painted on the side of a building in the town of Belfast, Maine. I was attracted to the window/flowerbox alongside the graphic sign. Before posting this, I did some on-line research and learned this was the trademark sign of a coal mining and transportation company that originated in the late 1700's in my home state of Pa. about 30 miles from where I live. . .small world! The company still exists in some form to this day. Old signs of this design are quite collectible.
