I went deep into my film archives for this WC submission. Taken about 10 years ago. Yes, the light is a little harsh, but I think the foreground wildflowers are beautiful, and the background, well, does it get more beautiful than Mt. Rainier? Larger image included.

Hi Scott, What I find most appealing about this image is the strong graphical design underlying the scene. All of the triangular elements create a strong composition.

Nice job,

Carol

Beautiful swath of flowers across the foreground; the mixture of yellow and blue flowers is wonderful. I also like the red flower anchoring the right bottom corner! The rest of the image is also quite beautiful. Interesting middle with sloping bank and a few trees. Then there is the awesome snow covered mountain with the blue sky as the last flourish to set it all off. Very nice, Scott.

This fits exactly what I started out thinking with respect to this wc....In so many landscapes the "background" is such a beautiful and integral part of the image. I can taste the clean air and feel the warmth of the sun.

You handled the exposure very well here, Scott. I can see that both foreground and bg contribute about equally to making this a beautiful scene.

Yep. Its a mountain. The flowers are nice, but what I dig are the trees. I am thinking about Carol's triangle comment. Rarely do I see a landscape as faceted as this one. Very interesting construction.
