A Beautiful End

From my Cornwall trip in 2011, when conditions were much calmer than my visit last month; I'll post the more recent version later on. This sort of afterglow is my favourite time to photograph.

Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, 10 seconds.

Truly beautiful scene--love those craggy rocks and the lighting, and that little bit of white water outlining the coast!

Love the beautiful warm light on the cliffs Kah Kit especially against that lavender sky. Stunning detail in the large version.

The light's really sweet here, Kah. I always was fascinated by the rough coasts of Cornwall.

I love this time of light, too! Hey, I think I may have coined a phrase here.
Look how much it brings out in the color and the detail. Sweet!

This looks like a wonderful place to spend some time. The partially lighted cliff is beautiful, and the foreground cliff leads into it perfectly.

Beautiful light Kah Kit. I also really like the comp but it is too bad you did not get a little more definition in the clouds.

Lovely light. I've variously heard photographers refer to it as "blue hour" and "salmon light," which, when you think about is sort of opposite things. I think it's this contrast between cool and warm that is picked by elements in the land that make it so special.

This is really nice and peaceful. I love that time of day as well, for just that reason!

Kah Kit,

Yes, what a beautiful time for photography. I think you've captured that light and look beautifully here. I really like the color contrast between the red-warm cliffs and the more neutral rocks in the foreground. Not sure I like the somewhat heavy vignetting up top. I dunno, maybe I could get used to it.
