WC 521 Snowy Barn

I wouldn't normally plan a photo outing in weather like this, but the spring snow turned out to be more than predicted. The best I could do for equipment protection was to try to shoot under trees and wipe lenses frequently. Everything dried out without problems. Taken in the evening and getting dark, so pretty much like it looked. From a couple of years ago.

Looks like you were out and about in a heavy, wet snow storm. I'm impressed with the heavy snow on the trees and like how you isolated the barn and fence from the trees. I enjoy going out in light to moderate storms, but am not sure I venture out under what these conditions look like.

This is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. I absolutely love the composition, the subtle contrast, and the beautiful scene. Gorgeous work!

Just lovely - looks like it's been textured by the snow.
Congrats on the WP!

Just fabulous! Congrats on the Pick!

(Looks like old timey black & white TV with bad reception… A nutty little comment having nothing to do with how wonderful this is as a photograph. But it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it and it brought back good memories and some amusement considering HDTV in the modern era. )

Living in Valdez, Alaska, I can really relate to this scene. I can really feel the snow hitting my cheeks and the quiet, calmness of the moment. Nicely composed and shot. Very nice, Roger!
