Red wolf howl! +repost

Even though the fence is clearly showing behind the wolf, I liked the pose I caught him in as he and the rest of the wolves joined in a group howl! Offspring from the breeding pair at the Miller Park Zoo have been released in the wild by being crossed fostered.

Canon T1i
1/160 @ F8 ISO 400
Canon EF S55-250mm lens @ 215mm.
IS on HH. Taken through glass.

It looks more like a yawn to me, but it's a great pose nonetheless. The fence in the background is unfortunate indeed, but I'm sure there was nothing you could do about that. Thanks for sharing.

I tried something in the repost to reduce the impact of the fence, would like comments if it works or not. Thanks

Hi John, cool pose indeed  . I must admit that the fence is ruining it a bit for me though, but obviously that was entirely beyond your control here. In my opinion the fence is equally distracting in the repost, but I do prefer the green BG.

Such a strong fence cannot be overcome, IMO. I think you are correct in that he provides an interesting pose and you had a decently low angle.

Hey John,

Compelling pose and looked to me at first glance that it was a howl (and not a yawn), but perhaps I was influenced by your title! Like the others, I do find the fence distracting and unfortunate, but obviously nothing you could do about it. To me the fence is just as visible in the re-post and, colour-wise, I prefer the first post.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
