I originally posted this photo to the UKNP forum.

This photo was taken last summer. I brought our wet Welsh weather to Essex, this fox had just had a good soaking.

Techs: Canon 7D, EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM @ f/4, 1/1250, ISO400. Manual exposure, fullframe. Processed in CS5, NR with Nik Dfine. Huge thanks to Phil.

C's and c's are very welcome.

Thanks for looking!

Nice one Paul - I really like that oof band of yellow flowers in the foreground. If this were mine, I'd probably crop a slice from the top (the darker green bit).

Awesome pose and look on that face here Paul. The yellow flowers put this over the top though. Perfect processing and great colors throughout as well. I am only a little undecided about the centered composition and am thinking a cropping a bit from the right and the top could solve that. :toast:

Exposure and processing look great. My only thought is that body position is less graceful than I normally envision for such a beautiful subject and I fully understand those kinds of comments are totally subjective, matter of taste. I hope he gave you several clicks of the shutter for variation.

Hi Paul,

I love that look and even that slightly upraised right paw. I really like the yellow flowers immediately behind and around the fox and those white ones (which I think are flowers as well but a bit tough to tell). But, unlike some of the others, I'm not as thrilled by the yellow band of out-of-focus flowers in the foreground. For me (and quite possibly just me! ), that extra bit of colour isn't needed here and distracted me a little from the subject (which I feel is definitely strong enough to stand alone) - almost like a "hurdle" to jump over before getting to the subject. But others appear to quite like them, so...different strokes for different foks I guess!

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad

Beautiful image of this red fox, Paul! I really like the look in its eyes! And the yellow flowers are the icing on the cake. :toast:

Paul, this is really nice. I like the yellow behind the fox, but I am undecided on the yellow upfront. Nice eye contact.
