Is there noise in space?

I belong to a camera club and our monthly theme was "space". This is my take on the theme and its not actually an image. This is a 45 minute exposure taken in my office with the lens cap on. The "stars" are simply electronic noise that I emphasized in post-processing rather than eliminated. Thought this was an interesting way to address the theme and learn a little about how "noise" affects our images...see large for best effect.

Interesting concept, Reed. I viewed the larger image but couldn't see your noise in space. But still like your idea.

I give you an "A" for creativity! You turned something most think of as undesirable into an image.

"Is there noise in space?"

**Cosmic microwave background radiation? Your image is an interesting concept. I wonder if you'd get a greater effect at a very high ISO?
