Friendly frog

Here is another picture from my photo session with a frog that became trapped in our garage. I took him down along the creek for a photo shoot before he hopped away. This was taken as he was gradually (note slow shutter speed) making his way to the creek. Nothing unusual, just a detailed specimen shot of my special frog.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/11 for 1.3 sec. ISO 100. No flash, natural lighting. Tripod mounted.

Great color and detail. It's does seem a little tight in the frame, I might have been tempted to add a little room around the edge. I really like the texture and detail of the skin, nice capture, makes me miss spring.

Nice Green Frog! It's skin almost seems irridescent.

Wow, that's a beauty, Carolyn. Looks like a female green frog (Rana clamitans, and while I often see them with the bright green "moustache" I don't recall ever seeing so much of that bright color extending down the sides, legs and even onto the hind feet. I alway see them either in the water or in dense wetland vegetation, which sort of camouflages them. The dark background here works great for showing off the colors.

Amazing details. I love the smooth range of greens and the details. The colors show so well against the dark BG. Very nice capture.

Wonderful detail and colours. Usually this "rear" perspective doesn't work too well, but this sure does becuase of the great eye!
Congrats on the WP!

Amazing color and detail Carolyn. Also amazing that you got the frog to sit still long enough to get the detail and color under a tripod. Nice capture, and congratulations on your weekly pic.
