My orchids are still healthy. Had good light in the "studio" this evening and was attracted to the subtle pastels in the petals and the BG. All comments welcome.>=))>

Nicely composed, good use of the diagonal positioning of the flowers. I like how you were able to capture both the front and back of the flowers. I like the soft colors and the subtle purple. If I had one nit, it would be I like the right lower background more than the blue-purple background-personal taste, no doubt.

I agree with the previous comments about the excellent composition. I like the three angled flowers facing front, and the way space on the right is filled in with the two rear view blooms. I don't know if it was intended, but the two toned BG (with the LRC being grayish) stands out. I'd probably prefer the BG to be uniform, but this is very minor. Overall, a beautiful presentation.

Another beautiful shot of this orchid. I like the emphasis on the fronts, while including the backs for a complete look. I'm hoping to learn from your work with this orchid as my wife's small collection blooms. I am jealous of your "studio" lighting.

Bill,

A great composition. I like the suttle purple color. Great background. Nice overall.

Love the subtle shades and I do like the cool BG tone to help set it off a bit! Very nicely done!

One of the very good Orchid Photos I have been Bill. I really like the tonal difference between the background and the whites from the Orchids to make them stand out so nicely . Great work on the exposure also

Bill:
This is gorgeous. The only thing I miss here is the stem leading out to the edge making these looked like floating in space.

I think this is my favorite of your recent orchid shots. I didn't notice the Bg as Scott mentioned, so I scrolled back up the page to check it out. That would be my only miniscule nit of an excellent piece. :toast: :toast:
